Not really scary. More like fun. I've been working on the stitch-outs for the Halloween quilt some friends and I are hoping to put together. We're mainly using designs in the Halloween pack from Anita Goodesign but I'm adding additional embroidery because I want my quilt to be larger than the prescribed 37" square. Here's how it's looking on the design board so far.
So, I'm looking for Halloween quotations to embroider as a fill-in. I think I've settled on a couple of short poems and these two quotes:
When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, ‘tis near Halloween. -19th century Halloween postcard
'Tis now the very witching time of night, When churchyards yawn and hell itself breathes out Contagion to this world. -William Shakespeare
Shadows of a thousand years rise again unseen, Voices whisper in the trees, "Tonight is Halloween!" - Dexter Kozen
Embroidered in black on the bright lime green background, they should make a striking contrast with the orange, purple, black and white embroidery already finished.
